Centro Sportivo Catania Calcio

Torre del Grifo Village Sports Complex, located in the municipality of Mascalucia (Catania), on Via Magenta at the foot of Mount Etna, is the sports centre owned by Calcio Catania S.p.A.

Construction began in June 2009 and the complex was officially inaugurated on 18 May 2011. It covers an area of approximately 130,000 m², with more than 3,500 m² of glazed surfaces.

Systems used

Headquarters building: Poliedra Sky 50 CV curtain wall system.
Accommodation and guesthouse: Poliedra Sky 50 curtain wall system.
Multipurpose building: Sky Glass 180 point-fixed façade and Poliedra Sky 50 traditional curtain wall.
Internal doors: Flex system with glass door leaves.

All aluminium profiles feature a painted finish in RAL 9006 and Gothic Brown.

The traditional façades are fitted with glazing composed of 8 mm tempered Sunergy Grey glass, a 15/16 mm warm edge spacer and an internal low-emissivity laminated 55.2 glass.

The point-fixed façade features glazing composed of 8 mm tempered Sunergy Grey glass, a 15/16 mm warm edge spacer and an internal low-emissivity tempered laminated 66.4 glass.
