The quality of METRA Building is transversal to every process. The entire supply chain is supervised internally and centrally controlled to ensure maximum efficiency, since 2009 we have been equipped with a sophisticated ERP system.
Our team of specialists is strongly oriented towards the study of details and the realisation of the best customized aluminium solutions. In the technical R&D department, co-engineering and co-design of architectural projects, as well as the entire coordination of the whole product industrialisation phase, come to life.
METRA Building through this specific test guarantees the highest levels of quality, feasibility, durability and reliability of aluminium solutions for the building industry, respecting the standards dictated by the European EE, British BS and American AAMA standards. A PMU test allows us to conclude the co-engineering phase with our customers in the best possible way.

Size and complexity are our challenge: thanks to 9 presses with a capacity of up to 7,000 tons we extrude over 55,000 tons of aluminium every year and produce a wide range of extrusions from 0.5 kg/m to 70 kg/m. We specialize in the use of structural alloys.
3 lines for the thermal assembly of standard products or large size thermal profiles (custom).
The thermal break consists in the interruption of the heat flow that can pass through the metal with which the frame is made. These are special profiles in which the internal metal part is separated from the external one by polyamide bars, with low lambda material with high thermal insulation value. The thermal assembly reduces the passage of heat; the result is that the internal surface remains at a temperature closer to that of the internal environment.
We take care of all the phases of the mechanical processing, in order to speed up and simplify the work of our customers. With our machinery we carry out specific operations able to modify the extruded material, shortening the time and lightening the customer’s commitment in many phases of the production process. Our machine park includes CNC centres up to 30 m long and 4×30 m portals fitted with laser quality control, thermal compensator and 3D probe.
The welding process is fully managed in the dedicated 6,500 square metres plant, a production area located after the extrusion line for maximum vertical integration.
With our tested finishes we aim to extend the life cycle of aluminium windows and doors: oxidised finishes, matt, glossy, high-glossy and wood effect treatments under the Qualanod-Qualicoat-Seaside-Qualideco brand, also with antibacterial option. We offer a wide range of custom colours, treatments that guarantee maximum resistance to corrosion, stains and scratches for maximum performance. METRA Building supplies thermal profiles also with dual (two-tone) finish.
In order to provide a truly complete service METRA Building supplies assembled kits made up of machined aluminium profiles and fastening products such as gaskets, plastics, screws and metal sheet. These kits are always supplied with custom-made packaging and meet all construction site requirements.
